Media Arts in Educational settingsMASJ has collaborated with a variety of educational programs reaching underserved students. The newest relationship is with Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, where MASJ students have been offering weekly production workshops in documentary and poetry video since 2012. Each summer for the past four years MASJ has partnered with Pitzer's Native Youth Pipeline to College providing media arts workshops in video production, critical reflective blogging, digital bookmaking and photography. Past projects include producing an outreach documentary for Pitzer's student led Tutor's for a Cause program and designing and implementing a media arts curriculum for the Pomona Charter start-up, the Academy of Culture and Technology.
