LESBIAN GAY BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER QUEERSince 2000 MASJ has had an ongoing relationship with REACH LA, an Arts and Action organization that utilizes media arts to produce innovative HIV message for and by youth. MASJ students have been assistant teachers REACH LA's digital lab workshops, in video arts production, HIV prevention website development, youth produced health magazines, and Club Prophylactive HIV prevention dance party reels. Recently MASJ has collaborated REACH LA's Young Men's HIV Leadership program to produce two documentaries about the impact of HIV in the National House/Ball community. Through REACH LA other partnerships evolved with Children's Hospital Transgender Youth Program and the TransLatina Coalition. Many documentaries born out of these partnerships have won awards and been screened at festivals both nationally and internationally.
