PITZER'S NATIVE YOUTH PIPELINE TO COLLEGE

Pitzer’s Native American Summer Pipeline to College program supports Native American students’ transitions from high school to college, in a two-week on-campus program for students grades 10 through 12, that focuses on the humanities and health sciences while building the necessary academic skills for college.  This program is designed to motivate Native American students to complete high school, build critical thinking skills, and  strengthen their self-esteem.

Tradition Collision

The two worlds of Native American youth clash in this video  depicting love and respect of traditional culture with love of contemporary popular music and dance culture  that pervades the life of every  teen and documents the incorporation of pop image icons into  modern day dance regalia.

"Pitzer's Native Youth Pipeline to College program was truly life changing. Firstly, it allowed me to be of service and learn to cherish the challenging moments of which life consists. Further, it taught me the nature of service, for it means to deeply care and take action as an expression of an unwavering commitment to serve in the name of increasing opportunity for Native youth in the hope of contributing toward a more just world."
