Warehouse Workers United

Labor Organizers with Warehouse Workers Untied describe the dangerous working conditions that many immigrants face that work in the Inland Empire warehouse district.  They talk about their involvement with Warehouse Workers  Untied and what they are doing to advocate for policy that will improve conditions for warehouse workers.

"As I proceed through my Pitzer education and learn about one injustice after another, I often become overwhelmed by the immensity and depth of the world’s problems, and desperately frustrated at my limited power to contribute meaningfully to social change.  But by completing my video project this semester, I felt like I achieved something that could actually make a difference.    Even more importantly, I built a set of skills and a body of knowledge that will empower me to keep telling more stories that people need to hear.  I feel as though I have been armed with a new weapon that I can use to beat back the tsunami of injustice."
